Soul Kitchen @ Penang

Located at Lebuh Muntri @ Penang, Soul Kitchen is a very unique and special place to dine here in Penang. Why so?

Well, first of all, it’s a small family business, operate by the couple Michele and Tonio. The building is already quite a history itself  and is part of the heritage pre-war building.

Besides, rather than serving the traditional local Chinese/Malay/Indian hawker food you can find all around in Penang, it served Italian food instead.

My beautiful Cappuccino @ RM5.

And LY’s freshly squeeze and flavourful Orange Juice @ RM5. Price might a bit steep you might say as we are not dining in a air-conditioned restaurant, but the orange juice is pure and good, unlike those you get in normal coffee shop where you taste water and sugar syrup more rather than orange.

La Bodega @ Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur

Unlike most people who are happy with French Fries or fried chicken wing when drinking, I am not. I always hate it when the bar I went served mediocre to lousy food, or those with limited choice and expansive. While those that served good food the choice of beer will be limited or expansive.

Luckily, La Bodega is the saviour,  unluckily the nearest La Bodega is like 400km far from my house. Sigh…..

The thing I love about La Bodega is the wide choice of finger food aka Tapas, which is inexpensive and in good quality. The choices of wine, cocktail and beer is amazing too.

For the starters, I and LY opt for the Mediterranean Style Seafood Soup @ RM26 which is quite appetizing, prepare our stomach for the upcoming dish. 8.0/10

Lot 10 Hutong Revisit @ Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur

After my first visit to Lot 10 Hutong more than 1 year ago, I still wanted to go back to it everytime I came to Kuala Lumpur since there are just so much food there yet for me to try. Hence, here I am back to this food court again.

This time, instead of trying back the same thing, I and LY opt to try other stuff. Since it’s early, and the food court is pretty empty, we walked around and see what should we have.

I decided to give Kong Tai Singapore Bee Hoon @ RM8.30 a try. It was marvellous as I truly enjoy it. Very fragrant and it was the wet type which I loved. A single flaw of this is I don’t really enjoy the chilli though. 7.8/10

Prego Sunday Bubbly Brunch @ Westin Kuala Lumpur

Before I started anything, I will say, Simply the best!

Yes, Prego’s Sunday Bubbly Brunch is simply the best ever buffet I ever had! Yes, it’s also one of the most pricey buffet, but again, it’s simply the best!

Yes, it’s a brunch, but they served nice wine and champagne.

Yes, it’s a brunch, but the amount and quality of food served is way more amazing than most other buffet dinner.

And again, Yes, I came here for my Christmas Eve Dinner, which it was also called the same name with the buffet they served every Sunday.

The champagne which I forgotten the name….. Nice! Free flow of it. You also have a choice of 2 type of red wine, 2 type of white wine or beer if champagne is not your cup of tea.

Diners here are being pampered, as it’s not your traditional buffet style where you need to walk up to the counter and take your food. Neither is you given a menu to choose the food you want. Instead, once we have our seat, the waiter started to bring up foods and foods and foods.  The seafood blah blah blah soup is amazing.
