It’s been some time since I last post about something eh? I been really lazy…..er…I mean busy. There are tons of pictures hiding inside my harddisk, and I think it’s time to show them to the world.
The first of the many more is beef noodle from Penang at Kang Beef House.
Although they do serve other beef cooked dishes such as fried rice, hor fun and steamboat, but it’s only available during dinner time.
Hence my RM15 beef koay teow is here.
The ingredients variety is good, tenderloin, brisket, beef tripe, beef tendon and meat balls. Although all the ingredients taste, but I still find that the soup itself is lacking of the oomph taste. Yes, it’s better than most beef noodle out there due to it’s variety of ingredients, but it’s far from the best. Maybe is because the sifu’s are not here yet for lunch time? Or the soup will taste better in dinner time after cooking for a longer period? I don’t know. 6.5/10

Lebuh Chulia Beef Noodle, ahhh my favorite, my lovely Beef Noodle. Whenever I go to a place for Beef Noodle, I will definitely compare with the one here, and until now, I still can’t find a place which served better version than the one here! It’s that good, at least for me!
Ahh….yummy. It’s full with different type of beef, tenderloin, sirloin, intestine, all is goodies goodie. The beef ball is very nice too. However, a nice bowl of beef noodle can only be good if the soup itself is good, and the one here never fails! It taste so beefy! 9.5/10

When mentioned about beef noodle, it’s either soup based, or dry based. Dry based is usually like Wantan Noodle, just that it’s with beef on top.
So here I am, at Sai Lam Coffee shop for it’s Ngau Lam Mee. It’s with mountain full of beef as I opt for “kar liu”, but it seems a bit overkill since all is just meat, but not it’s innards 😦
The meat itself is quite soft and tender, but still not the best around in town. Again, if only they have more “ngau lam” instead of just meat, then it will taste better. The noodle itself is not bad though, but might be a bit too salty for some people. 6.8/10

According to many people, in Sungai Petani, there’s only 1 place where the beef noodle there is worth eating, which is the one at the bus station of Sungai Petani. However, shame on me, I never heard of it until recently, someone who was not born and breed in Sungai Petani, neither he stayed in Sungai Petani before told me this, and only after that I found out that almost everyone in Sungai Petani know about it, besides me…….
It was sold by a pair of uncle aunty, and they had been selling it for more than 20 years.

Most people who are born and breed in Kuala Lumpur will definitely heard of Ngau Kee, a small road side stall that been selling beef noodle for years. Shame on me is that although I do study and work at Selangor for 5 years, but I never heard of them until recently.
As always, I will choose the dry version if they have one. The toppings are minced meat. I am however sorta disappointed since many had said it was 1 of the best, but for me it just lack the oomph. Don’t get me wrong, it still a good bowl of noodle, but just lacking something, leading it to be above average max. Besides my taste bud might also be affected due to the fact that I am quite full already before I enter the shop. 6.8/10
