Four Seasons Restaurant @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang

After reading from some blogs and see how some of them are so happy that Four Seasons are finally opened in Malaysia, and said it’s the best roast duck, and it’s so famous in London that customers are willing to queue up for more than 1 hour for it in London, I tell myself that I really need to try it.

It’s a small restaurant located inside Jaya Grocer, Empire Shopping Gallery at Subang. I arrived at 12pm ++ and that’s the crowd on a weekday…. Which lead to me thinking, if it’s really that good, shouldn’t it have more customers?

Well, things are already going bad when they totally mess up all our order. There are 3 of us, and every single portion of it is so wrong and I wonder what’s the waiter is doing at all.

Anyway, the supervisor did came in and apologize to us and listen to our order again.

Celestial Court Dim Sum @ Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

After checking in to Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, I and LY head straight to Celestial Court to try their Dim Sum with my RM200 voucher ^^

The jade flat plate looks really interesting, too bad seems that it’s for decoration purpose only as the waiter took it off after I order my food.

5enses @ Westin Kuala Lumpur

I used to went down to Kuala Lumpur 2 to 3 times a year after I am back to my home town, but in year 2012, I think I did not ever make a trip down until I noticed that my Starwood vouchers are expiring!

Hence, immediately I make a reservation using my Free room voucher are Westin Kuala Lumpur, and my Buy 1 night free 1 night voucher at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.

Not only that, I still got a bunch of RM200 vouchers to spend!

After meeting up with bear at Pavillion, we head to the newly renamed 5 senses at Westin Kuala Lumpur for our dinner.

The appetizer is indeed, quite appetizing.

The Famous Authentic Traditional Peiking Duck in Two Series (北京鸭) @ RM108, which is very expansive for me and I would not order if I did not have the RM200 voucher. It’s a 2 dish combo, which we will be eating the skin first, and then the meat will be cooked with noodles and served later.

The chef and waiter bring the whole duck beside us, showing us his skills on slicing out the skin of the duck.

Nasi Kandar Md. Ibrahim @ Alor Setar

A day before I am off to China for a week, I know I will surely miss curry when I am there, hence the urge to have a good place of awesome Nasi Kandar before I depart from Malaysia is a must.

Hence, I travel all the way down to Alor Setar to the best Nasi Kandar I had tried up till today, Nasi Kandar Md. Ibrahim.

This is truly a 1Malaysia stall, unlike the BS you heard and read in newspaper everyday.

This small coffee shop are run by Chinese in a traditional Chinese Coffee shop setting, while the Nasi Kandar stall are run by Indian Muslims, or better known as Mamak. You can always find all races dining here happily, proved that we Malaysians, although we do have our different believes and culture, we can live together in a harmonious way.

We don’t need all those marketing campaign and 1Malaysia logo all around to tell us what 1Malaysia are, all the time we are already able to do so.

Malibest Resort @ Langkawi

Initially, I planned to have a 4 days 3 nights stay in Langkawi, then when planning my itinerary I find that time is not enough, hence I extend 1 more day.

BUT, after spending 4 nights in Langkawi, especially after the Pulau Payar trip (which I did not blog about it), I find that I am kinda exhausted. I want a day where I can do nothing on the beach and have a good rest. Hence, I decided to extend 1 more night, which in the end, I spend 6 days 5 nights in Langkawi!

Although Four Points by Sheraton had a great room and pool, but I decided to spend my last night at some hotel in Pantai Cenang.

After some quick research, and due to the mother of luck is on my side, I manage to book a Super Deluxe Beach front room at Malibest Resort.

After sending Cow Cow to the airport, I checked in at around 1.30PM at Malibest resort. Since the room is scattered around by the beach, their staff lead us to our room.

While the room is a normal budget resort style….

While the bed is not really that comfortable….

Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant @ Langkawi

After the tiring and disappointing trip from Pulau Payar (which I did not blog about), and since it’s our last day in Langkawi, I and Cow Cow decided to have our dinner at Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant, which we both heard that it served great Japanese food.

Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant located at a hill along Pantai Tengah. The road leading up to the restaurant is very small and steep, so drive slow if not you will just missed the entrance.

If you choose to sit at the upper floor, you can enjoy some nice view while dining. Reservation is advisable if you travel on peak period since the restaurant is quite small only.
